Virtual course play

Booking a simulator bay at Grip It & Rip It Golf works differently than booking a tee time or reserving range space. You’re reserving a private, enclosed room for a set number of hours, and everything in that room — the TrackMan unit, the 75-inch TV, the seating, the turf — is yours for the length of your session. No sharing space, no waiting on the group ahead of you, no splitting attention with strangers at the next stall.

Understanding how a bay rental actually works helps you book the right session for what you’re trying to do, whether that’s a quick hour before work, a weekend afternoon with friends, or a longer block for a group celebration.

How Bay Reservations Work

Reservations are booked online in advance through our TrackMan booking system, though walk-ins are welcome any time a bay is open. Each booking reserves one bay for a specific block of time — typically by the hour — and that bay is private to your group for the entire reservation. You choose the length of your session based on what you’re planning: a single golfer working on a specific part of their game might book an hour, while a group looking to play a full simulated round together often books two or more.

Members with an active membership plan can reserve bays as part of their monthly access, with the specific number of hours and booking windows depending on which membership tier they carry. Non-members can book bay time directly without a membership at standard hourly rates. Either way, the booking process is the same: pick your date, pick your time block, and the bay is held for you.

We recommend booking a few days ahead for weekend afternoons and evenings, since those windows fill up fastest with leagues, groups, and members using their monthly hours. Weekday mornings and early afternoons typically have the most same-day availability for walk-ins.

Every bay rental includes full access to the TrackMan simulator system, meaning you’re not just renting an empty room — you’re renting the technology, the course library, and the shot-tracking data that comes with it. Your reservation includes use of the private, walled bay itself, the mounted 75-inch TV, comfortable seating for your group, and access to the full menu of TrackMan courses and practice modes for the duration of your session.

You don’t need to bring your own clubs unless you prefer to use your own set — rental clubs are available on-site for golfers who want to try the experience without hauling in a bag. Members also have access to our AI-powered smart cooler, stocked with drinks and snacks, so long sessions don’t mean stepping out to find something to eat or drink.

There’s no separate charge for switching between practice mode and course play during your booked time. If you reserve an hour and want to spend the first twenty minutes hitting range balls before jumping into a round on a virtual course, that’s entirely up to you — the bay and the technology are yours for the full block regardless of how you use it.

Solo Sessions vs. Group Bookings

A single bay comfortably fits a small group, which makes bay rentals flexible for both solo practice and social outings. One golfer can book a bay alone for focused practice time, working through a bag of clubs without needing to coordinate with anyone else. Groups of two to four typically share a single bay for a casual round or friendly competition, rotating through shots the same way you would on an actual course, just without the walk between holes.

Larger groups — corporate outings, birthday parties, or bigger friend groups — often book multiple adjacent bays at once so everyone has room to play without waiting long between turns. If you’re planning something for a larger group, reach out ahead of time so we can coordinate multiple bay reservations for the same time block.

Pricing scales with the number of hours booked, not the number of people in your group, which means a group splitting the cost of one bay often works out to less per person than individual practice sessions elsewhere.

Membership Rates vs. Standard Hourly Booking

Grip It & Rip It offers several membership tiers, each including a set number of monthly hours at a discounted effective rate compared to booking hourly as a non-member. If you’re planning to use the simulators regularly — weekly practice, frequent rounds with friends, or consistent training — a membership typically brings your per-hour cost down significantly compared to one-off bookings.

If you’re newer to the facility or only planning an occasional visit, standard hourly booking without a membership is available with no commitment required. Many first-time visitors book a single hourly session to try the facility before deciding whether a membership tier makes sense for how often they plan to come back.

Full membership pricing and hour allotments are outlined on our Memberships page, and our team is happy to help you figure out which option — hourly booking or one of the membership tiers — fits your actual golf schedule best.

Booking for a Specific Occasion

If your reservation is tied to something specific — a birthday celebration, a corporate outing, or a league night — it helps to mention that when you book so we can plan bay assignments and timing accordingly. Larger private events sometimes benefit from booking the full facility rather than individual bays, which is available for groups large enough to fill multiple bays at once.

For standard practice sessions or casual rounds with friends, no advance notice beyond the reservation itself is needed. Simply book your bay, show up a few minutes early to get set up, and your private simulator experience is ready to go.
